That Boy...

Saturday Kaden and I cleaned out the garage.  I went through some boxes and got rid of some things that I haven't touched in over 6 years.  I happened to find my old camera.  Kaden wanted it to play with so I let him.  Sunday the child was determined I needed to take him driving around town so he could take pictures of peoples fall decorations.  Yes...yes I am talking about my five year old son. I explained that he wouldn't really get pictures.  He said he knew that he just wanted to pretend.  Sooo...Im relaxing int he bathtub..he comes strolling in..sits on the side of the tub, crosses his legs...camera hanging from his neck and says..."Mom, I've decided when I grow up I'm going te be fou(he cant pronounce the r's yet) things.  I'm gonna be a fawmew(farmer), teachew, constwuction woekow (construction worker) and an awttogafew (artgoropher) I asked if he meant a photographer...and he said yes!!!

So we did...we drove around town...he sat in his car seat, and snapped imaginary pics of outside fall decor.  I giggled the entire time...especially when we crossed paths with Mr. Policeman.  Wonder what he thought.

Later..we stopped a my Grandma's. Grandma just had her 92nd birthday...she's still going strong, lives in her own house.  Kaden wanted to stay...so Grandma said yes.  Later...when I went to pick him up..Grandma shared a story.  She said Kaden was playing with cars on the floor.  All of a sudden he looked up and stopped and said, Grandma, this is a really nice house.  I want to live here when you die!!!!  OMG...Grandma said she was laughing hysterically.  Ohhh...little boy...you realize she's 92? That could be like...tomorrow, lol!  Grandma has a great sense of humor!

Here's some more funnies...

"Mom, I love you way more than Dad."..heeeheee we wont tell Dad about that one.

To Brother Zach when Zach asked Kaden if he knew what a four wheeler was,  "Zach, why would you even say that.  Of COURSE I know what a four wheeler is."  He apparently had quite the disgusted look on his face too!

After telling him tonight for the hundreth time to be quiet and go to sleep..I said, WHAT did I say...His reply.."You told me to get my cute little face in bed!"

After being very disgusted with me because I wouldn't let him have any more to drink before bed..."Mom come kiss and hug me."  Me: I thought you didn't like me.  Why do you want to kiss and hug me.  Him, "Well I still love you...you just make me very angry.  That doesn't mean I don't want to kiss and hug you!"

Do you think his Mother may say these things occassionally? Lol...

And last another funny story..I had to work late..so my brother picked up Kaden.  He has three daughters, the youngest of which is three.  My sister in law had a party to go to..so Uncle Pat was home alone with the four kids.  He said Kaden said he had to go potty...So K goes in the bathroom and shuts the door.  All of a sudden Kaitlyn said she had to go potty.  She is the three.  So in she goes.  Pat said he could hear them talking away..so figured he'd better go see what was going on..He walks into the bathroom..and there they were..Kaden on the big potty, Kaitlyn on the little potty both with red faces...yacking away...doing the #2 thing.  He said it was the funniest thing he ever saw.  Now...I've heard of kissing cousins...but pooping cousins...this is a whole new level of cousinism!! Lol...

  2. How fun to have a such a fun little companion. I am a mother of 3 girls. Boys are a mystery to me. I don't know what I would do with a little boy if I had one:) Probably dress him up. Thanks for the blog visit. I have to say that after your comment I was looking at my pictures more closely and just about died. I am single handedly corrupting my blog readers. The lady with the club is now removed from my post and the other witch is not picking her nose!!! She is holding a container of snuff!!! AHHHHH. I just have to laugh at myself. -Steph-

  3. What a fun post...always fun reading about your children. Mine are so grown up I can't remember some of the cute things they said...sad isn't it.
See...now you have yours all down in writing (and on the internet at that! lol)

Thanks for visiting my blog today - nice to see you there. Sorry I don't get her much - think I need to weed out my list so it's more manageable for me.

    Blessings,
    Karen
