Ooops...I forgot to tell you. As I was sitting in my living room..enjoying the splendor of Christmas...vaaaavoooommmm...it tipped over. Oh yea...it did. I was home alone...well alone unless you include a sleeping five year old. JUST was thinking.."Wow, I can just relax and watch reruns of Friends..without having Seth playing shoot em up video games on TV." Guess I should never be glad my muscle man son is NOT home. Cuz the tree still looks just like this!
Ohh...I had another festive event yesterday too. My vacuum died. So...here's a little Christmas Decor I decided to do on the carpet.
Here's a tutorial as to how to get this look...
1. Fill your tree with water..full..
2. Allow your tree to tip over.
3. Pick tree up.
4. Do not vacuum up scattered pine needles, pieces of popcorn, and smooshed apple cinnamon ornies.
It's a very simple look. And should only take seconds to achieve!
OK...EVERYTHING isn't a mess. Here is a little vignette I'd like to share. I won a little giveaway awhile back from Misi at *1890*..It was the little entry where you did the A-Z sharing. I was the lucky recipient of the most amazing scented candle and the cute little gingerbread man. I wanted to wait to post until I had them in their winter setting!
If your wondering..after the tree fell over last night. I first tried to get it back up..I was soaked from the water. So seriously just laid there for a bit...ohhh..with the tree on top of me...because I COULDN'T get it up on my own. I finally rolled out from under it...and went to bed. I'm going shopping this morning...for a new tree stand!
Merry Christmas Friends!!
LOL... let the Christmas fun begin, toppled tree and all! Have fun shopping..

Dont feel bad, I had a tree fall over 3 times one year. I was surely ready to cry. Your tree is beautiful and love your stove board display. Hugs, Lecia
ReplyDeleteOh lord girl. As if you didn't have enough excitement in your life... lol. Like they sang on "Hee Haww"... If you didn't have bad luck you'd have no luck at all?

KATIE! You have a blog? Did I know this? *ducking...so embarrassed*
ReplyDeleteAnyhow. LOVE YOUR TREE! Last year, I had an "unfortunate tree" contest. I think you could have won. LOL! But I love the idea of popcorn and cranberries and doing it old fashioned. That's super cool.
Oh my gosh, Katie, I missed this! How funny! I love your decor. It is the way it looks at most of our houses while decorating. Did you get the tree fixed?
