Inspired...

So...Stephanie inspired me to finish the heart make do I started weeks ago.  What do you ladies think???

I wanted to put it on a bobbin..but didn't find any at my local antique store.  We dont' have any thrift stores close by.  I'm thinking tomorrow I may take a drive and see what I can find a little farther away. Anyway...the bottom is a candlestick.  I have no clue what it's made out of . I actually think they are kind of cool...and may display the other one.  The look like pewter...but they are not. They were originally $50...I'm thinking that was crazy...because they are extremely light.  Like plastic light.  I ended up paying $12 for the pair.

I received another treat today.  Zach brought my a Christmas present from his lady friend Jess.  I absolutely love it.  I've said it before and I'll say it again..homemade gifts are the absolute best.  It has some delicious Carmel corn with almonds and dried cranberries, mint hot cocoa mix, homemade vanilla, and some ohhh so delish cranberry wine..you can't see the top of the bottle...cuz it's opened, lol!  Jess said I shouldn't eat the popcorn anymore...but I had to try it.  And you know what...it's still just fine~

It turned out to be a most wonderful weekend after all!

  2. I think you did a great job. It looks great in the candlestick. Your display on the table is beautiful. It's so fun to make things that look good enough to display. Nothing like a late Christmas present:) Homemade vanilla is to die for. I am glad you had a great weekend after all. -Steph-
