I'm the Mom of boys...five of them. I have spent more time at the ball field than probably anyone on the face of the earth, lol! I specifically remember spending one summer at some type of game every single day, numerous times a day. Zach played Babe Ruth, was on a Tournament Team, and Bat Boy for our BABA team. Jordan played Little League, and Seth was in Tball. I remember thinking after that summer that if I never saw another baseball I'd be ok with that! Truth was...as the years passed...and the sports stopped...I missed it. Welllllll...I"m proud to say..the dog days of summer...and baseball have returned!!! Kaden is my new ball player. NOW....I will admit, watching a team of five year olds playing tball is a bit different than the last game I watched.... believe it was a tournament game with Zach pitching...sometime in his teens, lol. BUT it's baseball none the less. Filled with boys in cleats, with grass stains on their knees. The smell of burgers cooking on a grill, and the smell of dirt...everywhere! Yep....I missed those days....Last night was picture day for baseball. Kaden received a "vintage" baseball card for having the best smile! Boy....those photographers knew how to keep the little guys smiling. Heheheee....
Today it's off to some of my favorite shopping spots with the sisters for my birthday! It is going to be a good good day!!!

LOVE baseball season! I will really miss it when my 2 are done playing. Hopefully they'll both play all through high school. My husband played all through college, so maybe some of his abilities are in our boys. Of course my lack of coordination has to be subtracted from any DNA their Dad gave them! ~Ann
ReplyDeleteMy hubby played through college too and it's fun to see him out in the yard teaching my girls how to throw and hit (not like a girl). He was teaching them how to throw properly when they were 2 and 3 years old with rocks into the water. My middle played t-ball last summer and she won't play again. My oldest has nothing to do with sports. I couldn't keep baby from running onto the field in the middle of the game. She loved it. We do like to play in the back yard as a family though. How fun to be able to do it all over again with your baby. I hope you have such a special day today. I love spending time with my sisters. -Steph-

Oh my a mom after my heart. I to have 5 boys and one girl and I so remember when all the boys were young doing all the sports and such. I have a son who is 11 and he doesn't do sports as he is autistic but he still keeps us busy and my little girl who is 6 now wants to do soccer so I see lots of days at the soccer field. I so remember the days of four kids and sports and never being home. What great memories I have.
